Founding partner Nick Groombridge spoke at the New York University School of Law conference “Rethinking Patent Prosecution, Review, and Litigation” on March 28, 2024. Hosted by NYU Law’s Engelberg Center on Innovation Law & Policy, the conference focused on the current state of the patent system, both in the PTO and the courts, how changes implemented by the AIA are working, and the status of current proposals for reform.
Nick offered his insights as a leading patent litigator on a panel titled “The State of Play in District Courts,” alongside U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit Judge Raymond Chen; U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware Judge Maryellen Noreika; and Saurabh Vishnubhakat, Professor at the Cardozo School of Law. John Desmarais of Desmarais LLP moderated the panel.
